The Babble Rankings page is divided into three ladders, showcasing the top 1000 players in each category.
The Cream o' the Crop
This ladder is based on a player's average per-puzzle performance. For each puzzle that a player participates in,
his or her score is divided by the maximum possible score for that puzzle and then multiplied by 1000 to come up with a score between 1 and 1000. The average of all the
player's scores is then calculated to get his or her "raw rank." An additional point for every puzzle that the player has completed is then added
to their raw rank to come up with their final rank.
Formula: average(round(total points earned ÷ total points possible x 1000)) + (# of puzzle completions)
Village Elders
This ladder is based on a player's entire Babble career. It's just a raw total of all the points a player has scored since the dawn of Babble.
Who's Hot
This ladder showcases the best players from the past 30 days. This is a chance for rookies to get some recognition. Rankings are
calculated using the same formula as the Cream o' the Crop ladder.
