go to the control panel, click on programs and features - the instructions for uninstalling a program are at the top of the page. After you have uninstalled the version(s) you have, go to the chrome website and download the program, then follow their instructions to install it. Dont forget to restart your computer after the installation. If that doesn't work, I'd use a different browser. I've always used edge because it is designed to work with windows, so that is all I can suggest. If you think it is windows os that is corrupted, then restore to a time when it was working properly

it’s been standard since Windows 10, so for over 10 years. It’s not in a drop down menu. It’s in the Settings app. With the shortcut being a right clic on the Windows button, then Apps and Features.
