When you are in the grid, you get an all day pass on the oenalty box. :)
7:31 am
crosshair
Penalty.
7:35 am
mael
excellent! I should put that to good use haha
7:36 am
crosshair
Oh, multiply that litre price by 4.54 to get the old Canadian gallon, and you are talking northnof $6/gallon!! I put $25 in the Jeep yesterday and got a quarter of a tank. :(
7:36 am
hokie carla
I paid $4.75/gal the other day
7:38 am
crosshair
Now I know why I avoid converting the measurements these days. :(
7:42 am
hokie carla
yeah, I have no idea how that compares but it was way higher than usual for me.
7:43 am
hokie carla
oh, just saw a post where you did do that
7:44 am

Gets confusing sometimes. The American gallon is smaller at 3.78 litres.

Reminds of a particular customer I had in the mid 1990's at my gas station. Keep in mind we are about a two hour drive north of the border. I am sitting there as this bright pink B.M.W comes roaring in, then proceeds to drive very slowly past each of our pumps one at a time. Then the driver pulls up to the building, rolls down the window and says "Hey, boy, where are the pumps that sell in gallons?" I look at the driver for a moment, point to the south, and say "About a two hour drive that way." She look at me like I was crazy, then said, and I kid you not, she said "What a backwards little country you are!" She then peeled off in a cloud of dust. Converting measurements always reminds me of her to this day.

crosshair
That is not to say that I do not use any imperial measurements. Canada switched to metric in the mid-seventies so both units of measurement roll around in my mind at times. It will be the generation that follows that will need only the one., but for me, there are still serveral things that must be in imperial measure like pints of beer, and measuring a freshly caught game fish in inches/feet.

9:10 am

It was always the idea of having to replace a $10,000.00 EV battery down the road that gave us pause when buying an EV but now that Trumps war has gasoline selling here at over $160/litre, $10k is only 100 fill ups for my Jeep. :/
9:30 am

Costing me just about $110 to fill the tank on my Jeep now. :(
10:19 am
wingding
to help w/ mileage, install new air filter and get rid of extra weight in car, keep tires inflated to 32lb and ease into the pedal, don't mash it ... esso and sunoco plus+ are the best for mileage
10:23 am
crosshair
I prefer Sunoco (Suncor) fuel as well.

my commute to work was a full tank ... did it for 6 1/2 yrs ... the cheap gas is cheap for a reason, no additives that extend mileage
