cybernan - can't comment on brands, but I thoroughly recommend getting an induction range. More energy efficient, heats stuff up faster, and you can't beat it for cleanablility! Nothing, and I mean NOTHING that spills or splatters get burned onto the cooktop. A little soap and water (no scrubbing) and it's good as new!
