Sprite - I fell downstairs and dislocated my collar bone, but didn't break any bones, just all the muscles and tendons, abut 15 years ago. It will get better as time goes on. x

Sometimes, when I am just standing still on a flat surface, one of my ankles give way, and that's kind of what happened to me just over 18 months ago, when I suddenly fell sideways for no apparent reason and must, I assume, have hit my left leg and ankle up against my desk. I immediately tried to get up, using my left leg as the leading one and realised that my foot and my leg were disconnected and sliding in different directions. I lay on a hard floor for 21 hours after the 999 call before an ambulance finally arrived. My 90-year-old Mum had come in to slip sofa cushions etc., under me and blankets and pillows and all that stuff. My hubby was 4 hours away in Devon when he got the call.

i recall we had to write one of those "what i did over my summer vacation" essays.
well, my family had gone to (i think it was) puerto rico.
and while we were there, a bid ol tropical storm hit us. the hotel made everyone stay in the lobby. problem was the lobby was all glass + eventually the pressure built up so much that the lobby IMploded.
