there's a new kickstarter for a new litterbox thing that looks pretty awesome, although i'd have to modify it slightly

We invested in the aluminum litter boxes. They are deep and sturdy. Now that we only have one cat, we can change out the boxes and clean the dirty one when we can.

We switched to crushed walnut shells litter and we like it much better.

yes, i trained him with churu. i figured he would like it because i had this one box with a top entry and he liked standing on top and peeing down into it instead of getting in. he doesn't like to step in the litter. so then i thought i bet he would like using the toilet, and he does. he's always so proud of himself when he does it too.
