does anyone else do this thing where they are looking for words that start with a certain letter, and you're getting to the point where you're a bit stuck, and you put in the first letter to be ready for when you see one, but then, when you do see one, you always type the whole word anyway so then you have two of the first letter and it is wrong?

my problem with wordle is how well you do depends a lot on luck -- which word you begin with and if their are multiple choices at the end, choosing the correct letter. Went through 3 initial letters yesterday before picking the correct one.

Thanks Sophie will go looking. Has anyone said how to clue words quickly? E.g. ante would be an4/4. An - first 2 letters 4/4 4 letters score 4 points. Often for 4 letter words you might not give the 2 letters at the start of the word, but do a4/4

thanks.... I am still learning etiquette. I was just passing on the way it's clued on Lickety. I can only get about half on my own, when it's this large. Just started last summer. Maybe I'll improve?

It's ok. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but it makes it easier for you to understand what's being posted if you get the scoring system. Do you know about the score multipliers for longer words? So a 5 letter word is twice it's letter score, 6 letter x3, 7 letter x4 etc. That's a huge help on the longer words. Hope you're enjoying the game. It's a bit addictive.

But it will help you get words that are clued in the chat. So for example pa5/14 clued below will have a letter score of 7 (2*7), which means you will need another letter with a score of 2 in the word, such as a d or m or h as well as the p. The other 3 letters will have a score of 1.

we do not. there is a closet for one but it didn't have one. we talked about it on and off. would be nice, but like the trip we just took we didn't have sewer hookup so it would've filled our tanks too soon.
