With FM, we gotta do what we gotta do to feel human. I had another off day today, but tomorrow will be better, I'm sure. My thermostat isn't working, so I have to go get a new one so my handyman can install it on Tuesday when he fixes my sink. I woke up freezing at 6:30AM - the thermostat was set on 76F but kept the AC running down to 63F. If I turn it off for 25 minutes, it starts working for a little while. I'm just leaving it off tonight, it's cool enough outside to just leave the windows open.

well we do tend to undermed because we know that there isn't much out there to help us, and we have to be careful not to overuse in case it becomes ineffective.

some people over use then wonder why they have to resort to heavier and stronger drugs. i try the natural things first. heat/cold, lie down, meditation.

No doctor these days is going to increase meds they don't like to prescribe in the first place. Therefore we need to be careful to only use what is absolutely necessary to stay comfortable. I have found that turmeric and boswellia are good pain relief for me.

also, understanding just how much you can tolerate before it is unmanageable. stopping before that. listening to your body signals.

yes, me too. If lying down and control my breathing will make things more bearable, that is enough. If time will help, I will wait it out. If a coolpad or a hot water bottle will give relief, I will take it. If all else fails, I will consider meds.
