well, there is a stray cat who comes around sometimes, and he absolutely ENRAGES my Opie when he does. and then he flips out and takes it out on Fritz. so i need to keep the stray away. i read various tips and one was sprinkling coffee grounds around, so my mom has been giving me hers and i've put them out weekly. at first it seemed effective but lately he's been around again and this last time was the very day after i put out the coffee grounds! planting rue was another idea, so i was thinking of trying that next, but now i am sad to know it won't be a potential help for a whole year, if i have to plant it in the fall and wait for it to grow

We have a menacing Bengal in the neighborhood. He comes around and menaces my cats bu standing at the doorway. I have tried throwing water. His owner thinks that if she puts him on a leash and arranges a "playdate"- seriously- with my cats, they will all be friends. These are animals, not toddlers.
