one of our elderly parishioners died last weekend. he was 98 and still driving himself around bless him. he had a heart attack. went very quickly. he has actually died on the anniversary of his wife's death 2 years ago.

he was such a sweetie. not much taller than me. he was a submariner in WW1. his wife was in care, and he would drive over to her early every day, in time to feed her breakfast. then stayed to wash her, dress her, feed her lunch and dinner, then put her to bed before he came home. he did that every day for almost 10 years. such devotion.
