It's Avery Shaw by Amanda Lee. She has a buttload of series and all of them are supernatural except for Avery Shaw, who is a normal journalist. Very snarky.

these are just easy cozy mysteries but she comes out with a new book from one series at the beginning of every month. I only read 3 or 4 of the series and it's been a few months for a new one in the ones I read. She also has other series under a pen name, Lily Harper Hart. No idea how someone writes this many books, but they definitely have a lot of commonalities in characters, which is why I didn't get into all of them.

Thanks, hokie! There are legions of fiction books in different genres that use the same basic characters, plot devices, etc. It's like a formula where they just input the names and circumstances. Of course, in this day and age, AI would make it a snap, I suppose.
