when i worked in the north central part of Maine (very rural), a principal of a tiny k-4 school invited him to a writer's tea, an annual event at the school where kids would share their writings with parents and invited guests.... he accepted as long as it was not publicized....on the day of the event there was no school due to a snow storm....the principal was sure that they had lost their one chance to see him....but the next day, his office called to rescheduled and eventually he attended the tea....i thought that was rather nice of him...

I wish I was retired...still have a few years to go. Suspect I'll be working remotely for the next 3-6 months or so and then maybe start going back to the office. We saw the neurologist today; things are going wrong with him & now he’s got batteries of tests to do again: MRI’s, sleep-deprived EEG, neuro-psych assessment tests (that takes 4-5 hours alone), etc. I know it’s not all his MS, Iworry about what it might be.
