improving soodle; niece is/was in critical condition after losing baby (8 months along) and going into septic shock. But we'e hanging in there. Huge family on both sides has helped with support and you have all been marvelous too!

Yes DIC is horrible. Kidneys were not working fast enough to keep up with fluids and had to be intubated and possible dialysis; that averted but now kidneys are working to well. Dr says kidneys are stupid; they'll get it figured out eventually and start doing the right thing! Liver has been of concern---she is still very jaundice with bilirubin high and clotting enzyme production not up where they want but they just keep up the treatment and hope. Fluid levels down to where may be off ventilator today and she was able to breathe on her own for an hour with 92% oxygen levels on her own
